Aluminum skeg  was developed by designers ZelGear especially for inflatable kayaks. It might be fitted in a special pocket on the bottom . After inflating the bottom the skeg is fixing tightly. The U-shaped skeg won’t fall out of the pocket and get lost.

The bottom of ZelGear inflatable kayaks have curved shape, so the skeg, located on the stern, does not interfere when removing the kayaks ashore. You can safely put the boat on the beach without worrying about the skeg, it is aluminum and it won’t brake.
